Biophilia and Art
Biophilia and Art -Biofilia i Benestar: Un estudi de Koncha Pinós en relació amb l’obra de Duvan López, Selves i Boscos. Young people of Sant Feliu de Guixols, Catalonia, 2025.
Resum:
This study aims to evaluate the impact of exposure to the work of Duvan López, Selves and Boscos on the reduction of eco-anxiety and solastàlgia in young schoolchildren in Catalonia. Eco-anxiety and loneliness, emerging due to concerns about climate change, emotionally affect the new generations. This paper explores how neuroaesthetics, through artistic exposure, can serve as a therapeutic tool to mitigate these feelings. The study measures the levels of eco-anxiety and solastàlgia before and after the 90-minute visit to the exhibition, using standardized scales and qualitative analysis based on drawings and interviews. Initial results suggest that the intervention can reduce levels of environmental anxiety and promote a deeper connection with nature. In addition, emotional responses are analyzed through the perception of nature and the aesthetics of art.
